Tamarack Tribe Mountain Weekend

By Mike Rushton 25 September 2014 On the 13th and 14th of September all the folks on the Tribe Mountain Weekend met at Great Langdale Campsite for a weekend of hill walking, kit talk and hill skills. Our mate Russell Fralick lead the Saturday up Hell Gill to Three Tarns then over Crinkle Crags. The descent was a quick affair to the North of Pike O Blisco and back to camp.
The day was warm so all were sweating a plenty. Some good tips from Russell improved our hill skills and made the day interesting. Back at camp after showering off the grime of the day, we joined the Great Langdale Folk Festival at Old Dungeon Ghyll and a good night proceeded.
On the Sunday I took the front leading the group past Blea Tarn into Little Langdale, past Wilson Place and around Lingmoor back to camp. Loads of berries out on the roadside in Little Langdale that supplemented our food.
A great weekend with good company and marvellous weather.
