Daily Itineraries There is always something happening during the day at the Rendezvous. The itinery often runs the lectures/demonstrations in parallel with the activities but we repeat most activities each day, so no need to miss anything.
For ad-hoc activities not listed below, please see the white board during the event outside Tamarack HQ.
Does anyone have a skill and would like to do a demonstration or lecture? You are more than welcome. Please see one of the Tamarack Team in Tamarack HQ during the event.

FAQs
Q: Can I park my vehicle on the camping field? Vehicles that are not an integral part of your camp (if you are sleeping in, or on, or have a part of your tentage attached to your vehicle) will have to be parked in either the upper or lower carpark after dropping off any equipment at the camping field.
Q: Is there a quiet site policy at the Rendezvous? We have a quiet site policy which runs from 22:30 until 07:30 on each day of the Rendezvous. Adults are asked to supervise their children within the quiet times and keep the noise down to a sociable level.
Q: Are my children safe on site at the Rendezvous? Bowley Scout Camp offers great freedom for young people. However, the access road into the Scout Camp can at times get busy and there is a public footpath that dissects the site. Parents/guardians are advised to supervise their children at all times.
Q: What are the facilities at Bowley? There are toilets, showers, sinks and designated water stand pipes around the site. Along with a number of waste bins.
Q: What if I forget something essential? Depending what it is, the mini Tamarack Store provides lots of camping items and Great Harwood is a busy town with pubs, shops and a supermarket.
Q: Can I bring my dog? Dogs are allowed but must be kept either on a lead or under close control. All dog mess must be picked up and disposed of in the correct way.
Q: Can I bring my air rifle, bow, crossbow or shotgun? The simple answer is NO, with NO exceptions. All equipment for the activities is provided.
Q: Can I pitch a Hammock and Tarp? Yes, but there are a limited amount of spaces within the woodland area suitable for hammocks.
Q: Can I bring all my kids, including babies? No problem, the Tamarack Rendezvous is a family event - all are welcome.
Q: Can I have a fire near my tent? Fires are allowed but they must be raised off the ground, especially if you are camping in the woodland area. No de-turfing is allowed. It is advisable that all fires have some form of extinguisher close by in case of emergency.
Q: Can I have a wood burning stove in my tent? Wood burning stoves can be used as long as hardwood logs or peat are used to reduce sparks coming out of the flue. Remember, your neighbour might not have a fire retardant tent.
Q: Do I need insurance to come to the Rendezvous? Always a good idea to hold some kind of travel insurance coming to any event, even the Tamarack Rendezvous.
Q: Is there a first aid station and how do I know who the first aiders are? All first aiders will make themselves known at the introduction. The first aid location is at Tamarack HQ.
Q: Can I bring, wear and use my knife? Knives can be worn on your person but discreetly. If you are going to leave the camping area or go into Great Harwood ensure all cutting tools are left in the boot of your vehicle or tent.
Q: Can I bring a group of young people to the Rendezvous? No problem, we already have a group of Air Cadets and Scouts that come to the Rendezvous each year.
Q: My two 15 year old sons would like to attend, can they come on their own? Sorry, Tamarack cannot take responsibility for anyone under the age of 18. They will need to be accompanied by an adult.
