| The Tamarack Rendezvous 2014

| By Mike Rushton 10th September 2014 The Tamarack Team all agreed after the 2014 Rendezvous that it was a great success. We had many more people come and join us this year than in 2013, which was a sign of something special in its infancy. We would like to thank all the good folks who attended this year, many of them already booking for 2015 and bringing friends and family. The 2014 Tamarack Rendezvous was attended by people from all over the country, some came as individuals, some with family and friends others with youth groups. With such a good mix of people there was always good banter either at Tamarack HQ or on the many activities throughout the weekend. The weather was fairly kind with some showers which didn't seem to dampen spirits. An interesting talk and demo on wild game preparation kicked off the weekend with Mike and Russell skinning deer, Pheasants, Partridge, Rabbit, Pigeon and Squirrel that was turned into a delicious stew the following evening. Then plenty of range related stuff with tomahawk throwing, air rifles, archery, clay targets and catapults. Other activities including sniper 1 observation, Bowdrill workshop, tools maintenance, stalking games, kids crafts and a wild food walk were all well attended over the weekend. In essence, a well attended weekend with plenty of laughs and various discussions relating to the great outdoors which in a nutshell is what we at Tamarack envisioned the Rendezvous to be. Many thanks to all attended and thanks again for the positive feedback from all quarters on how we can improve and make future Rendezvous' better, which we have taken on board and will implement in the future.
