  1. The Casström No.10 Swedish Forest Knife isn't just another tool - it's a trusted partner for any of your wilderness adventures. Crafted with care and precision to meet the demands of outdoor bushcrafters and survivalists alike. As our very first bushcraft knife, the No.10 holds a special place in Casström history, and after a decade of refinement, it continues to be a firm favourite among outdoors enthusiasts worldwide.

The blade is 10cm long and made using 3.8mm thick Alleima (formerly Sandvik) 14C28N recycled stainless steel and heat treated to achieve a hardness of 59-60 HRC. The knives are ground with a shaving sharp flat Scandinavian grind and have a satin finish. This steel in combination with the grind makes these knives very strong, yet very easy to sharpen and it takes a great edge.

The handle is 12cm long. Between the handle scales and steel are liners to increase durability over time . The handle is secured with strong brass rivets which also gives them great classic look.

The knife comes with a very sturdy knife sheath made from 3mm thick vegetable tanned leather. The sheaths have an extra wide belt loop, an opening in the bottom for liquid, and a hole for a lanyard strap.

Superior Blade Performance  Made from Alleima (formerly Sandvik) 14C28N, a recycled Swedish stainless steel. The optimized chemistry provides a top-grade knife steel with a unique combination of excellent edge performance, high hardness, and good corrosion resistance. Casström blades are all cryo-quenched as standard too, which enhances wear resistance and fulfils the true potential of the steel.

    The Scandi Grind
This steel in combination with a Scandinavian grind makes these knives very tough and resilient to heavy chores, even with the point. It also allows the knife to be controlled very accurately when carving wood. This Grind is particularly suitable for bushcraft use. When re-sharpening the whole bevel should be sharpenend in order to maintain its properties or a secondary bevel can be added to make the edge even stronger.

AS PER THE OFFENSIVE WEAPONS ACT OF 2019 -YOU MUST BE OVER 18 TO PURCHASE A KNIFE. A CHECK WILL BE MADE, ON YOUR AGE, THROUGH A BASIC VOTERS ROLL SEARCH AND IN THE EVENT WE ARE UNABLE TO FIND YOU REGISTERED, WE WILL EMAIL AND ASK FOR COPY PROOF OF AGE PRIOR TO DISPATCH OF THIS ITEM.

IT IS ALSO NOW THE LAW THAT YOUR AGE IS VERIFIED ON DELIVERY, FOR WHICH WE WILL USE AN APPROPRIATE SERVICE USUALLY WITH ROYAL MAIL OR PARCELFORCE.

  2.  - The handle is a little longer, and fuller, now fits more hand sizes, even larger hands
     - The position of the index finger has been moved up and the finger guard is slightly reduced in order to be able to get closer to the blade in a convenient way with different grips
     - The blade is slightly wider to increase strength for really rough use
     - The cutting edge is slightly straighter, even the tip of the knife, and is therefore easier to carve with
     - Brass rivets that give a classic look
     - The sheath has a belt loop that sticks up and finishes just under the end of the shaft to make sure the knife doesn’t become uncomfortable when sitting with it on the belt
     - The side sheath stitching has now been completed with a rivet at the top, and the belt loop is now attached with rivets instead of stitching to increase durability and operating life of the sheath
